New to the forum/New 2017 FBTS

Hello everyone!

My husband and I are both retired and ordered a new 2017 FBTS a few months back. Its currently at the dealer being prepped/inspected and washer and dryer installed. We will pick it up on the 6th. We went to see it last weekend and WOW its a beauty! We could not find anything wrong with it just by looking around...so far! I am sure once we start turning things on and using it..issues will arise.... which prompted me to join this forum for future help and questions.

A little about us, this is our 3rd RV...first being a 3310 jayco, 2nd an Open Road by Pilgrim, each owned for 10 years... and now back to Jayco. We currently own a lot in a beautiful resort in Michigan, 4 hours from our home, and our RV will basically be parked and used like a second home. We've used our second RV this way for the past 10 years and we just love this life style. We did the traveling with our first jayco so we've had the pleasure of experiencing both.

Back to the new Jayco... we knew exactly which floor plan we wanted for a while and were pleasantly surprised to see some changed to the interior. One main thing was they upgraded the burners/oven to furrion's chef collection. Its beautiful! I LOVE to cook and I have always disliked the typical RV ovens. This one has a digital readout, heats more evenly, bigger, glass window and light inside...I am excited to give it a whirl!! Second thing we noticed was the pantry shelves are not adjustable as in past years...not sure if that a good thing or bad yet...also the barn doors in the bedroom...I believe one was solid while the other had the black glass like in the living area...well now its solid as well. One last observation on the front of the kitchen island by the TV...it used to have a swing out door that exposed shelves I believe.....then that changed to a flat wall with two lit shelves...now its just a flat wall that comes with a stool now...other than that...all seems the same...we are excited to take our new RV to our lot but unfortunately that won't be until spring

Looking forward to having many conversations on this great forum!!

Congrats! We have a 2016 FBTS and after getting the "bugs" worked out we are enjoying it at our winter site in Florida. We love the layout and I'm sure you will too!! Enjoy

Thanks again everyone...Fingerlakes....we're expecting bugs, just hoping we don't get huge bugs We are super excited about the layout, we fell in love with it fist time we saw it. We do have a question. In the FBTS, are there two black tanks or just one?? We are assuming one....thanks! Enjoy your winter stay!

FBTS Black Tanks

On my 2016 FBTS, there are two black tanks one for each bathroom. Each tank has it's own separate valve handle. During the PDI, your rep should show you the locations as one of them is not in the hook-up/valve control compartment.

Enjoy!
