Traded our motor home in on a Jaco Legacy 3610 5th wheel. Need help with a few questions. First, Only has 1 AC going to put another one in the bed room. Am I better off cutting into exsisting duckwork or have it separate. (any one done this?). Second, it is preped for a generator, will an onan 5500 fit and has anyone done this. Thanks for your help.

Have you tried your new 5er in summer temps with the one A/C unit ? We have a 29RLTS 5er with only one A/C, and it keeps the trailer comfortable from end to end. Unless you need to partition yours off into front and rear compartments (i.e. close door between), I would wonder if you really need two A/Cs. Just a thought. Not a clue about whether the Onan 5500 will fit - maybe someone else can help here. In any event, enjoy your new ride, and welcome to the forum.

You will need a second A/C on that unit unless you live in a mild low humidity climate. Onan 5500 will fit but I would recommend a portable unit you can put in the bed of the truck. Use for home and RV. Portable gens are cheaper also.
