NEWBIES - 2017 Eagle HT 28.5RSTS 5th wheel

Hi all,

New to the 5th wheel world having moved up from a 2003 Jayco pop-up. My girlfriend and I took 3.5 weeks and just drove/moved from Melbourne, Florida to Riverside, California after picking up our new 2017 Eagle HT 28.5RSTS (in Aberdeen, Mississippi) rear living towing with 2016 Ford F150 5.0 V8.

So far we love the 5th wheel.....on our journey we encountered a few niggles which I'll post up separately.

Looking forward to being part of JaycoOwners.com!

Grant and Cyndi

DAY 1

New Orleans

Vegas strip

Grant and Cyndi!

I too welcome you, I'm most curious for your opinion on how your 1/2 TON did pulling the 5er cross country.

I notice you have a little squat with the rig hooked up. You might want to look into Tembrens to level out the truck.

We also have the 2017 RSTS, and we love it. Tows great! Very few issues, mostly minor waranty things. Only thing of significance is one slide has to be adjusted. Love the fireplace on those cool rainy nights; actually it's great anytime. Already have three weeks of camping booked with more to come! Plenty of storage space. Glad they added the cabinet over the bench seat. It makes a world of difference! Good luck and welcome aboard!
