Question night shades

We were visiting an RV dealer's lot the other day and while touring one of the Jayco fifth wheels I noticed that the night shade was pulled half way down but when I raised the shade and released it, it slid halfway down the window again. I've always had venetian blinds in our previous campers and love the idea of the night shades, but how does one deal with one that won't stay up? Any suggestions would be appreciated as we haven't received our new fifth wheel yet but know that this may be a problem.

There is a cord or a string that needs to be adjusted occassionally.
Appreantly the one you found was not adjusted correctly. We have to adjust ours about twice a year. At first I thought it was a P.I.T.A., but after awhile I got use to checking and adjusting them.
It only takes about 30 seconds to fix.
The other option is to change them out for blinds like you have.

Thank you very much. I'll be sure to ask my dealer to demonstrate that.

I also had the same problem with my shades last month in Yuma, stopped into an RV dealer and the tech guy gave me a quick lesson. Problem solved.

I need to get some night shades as my trailer didn't come with 'em. Problem is they aren't cheap, especially when you've got three large windows in the living room/dinette area. Anyone know a place that sells good ones at a reasonable price?

I am not sure where you have looked for these shades, but try Camping World
http://www.campingworld.com/category/blinds-shades/110.
or you might try RV Surplus

I hope this gets you started.
