No DC power until plugged into 110 volts

I thought my battery was just dead, replaced with a new one without checking it. Installed new charged battery, the only thing that works that is is 12 VDC related, I can start my generator. Once the generator is running or I'm plugged into my AC outlet, then everything works as normal. What am I overlooking??

We do not have a genny so I'm prolly of no help. Both TT's I've owned have a fuse between the batt and converter, close to the batt. If the circuit to the genny doesn't go thru that fuse I'd look there first.

So nothing works if he generator is off and you are unplugged? Do you have a battery on/off switch. Mine is out near the battery. Otherwise I'd check fuses near the battery. Brand new trailer? Just unwinterizing your trailer? I'm not trying to make you sound like an idiot when I say this but I have no idea what your experiance level is with RVs.

By bet is on the 30amp fuse near the battery. Happened to me two Jayco's ago. However, I am not a betting man. I am just a person who was once blessed with this problem.

It helps if you include in your info year and model.
In general on all 30 amp power systems all lighting works of the 12 VDC system with or without connected to shore power. If things will work with the genny then it would also work with shore power.
In my case I have 2 - 40 amp fuses on the converter related to battery power.
Just check them. Lets this forum know what trouble you find.

you were correct, 30 amp fuse was blown coming off the battery. I know remember when it happened. Last weekend, maxed out the travel on the front landing gear on a sloped campsite, I just thought the battery died, thanks for the help
