Norcold 1210 question

Can anyone tell me what those sliding tabs are on the door handle? With the door open you can slide them inward and they are like pointed prongs that extend. I thought maybe door locks but there are no holes in the center flat bracket they would mate too. Don't see any info in my owners manual so I'm not sure.

They are to prevent it from closing when in storage to prevent mold and oders.

Oh thanks, just tried it. Better than propping them open as it keeps them from swinging around.
