North Point slide won't go out.

My slide won't go out. It starts even on both then stops on the right, left goes a little then the whole thing stops. I can't see anything jammed anywhere. The pic shows a bracket that appears to be missing a screw. Does it hold the frame of the slide? If it does is it bent?

I think your slide out needs to be retimed

Subscribing to this post. While none of mine have stopped working, I've had them stutter on the way out! Hope it's not a future issue!

I had the motor on my bunk room slide fail on one side. The slide was stuck in the out position when we were getting ready to depart from campground. I will tell you that you can muscle it closed by pushing on the outside of the slide and pushing the button on the remote to bring it in. The motor on the other side still worked, if it wasn't I don't think I would have been able to push the slide back in. It's not fun and my back was sore afterwards, but I got it shut. At the time, I didn't know about removing the motor to allow the slide to move freely. Lesson learned!

I'm pretty sure that bracket is nothing.
I think it is for when they are installing the rails.

The second time we took our rig for a trip, the kitchen slide would not go out. One side would move out a few inches and stop, the other side wouldn't budge. The service guy said the wiring harness had been routed improperly and had wrapped around a motor shaft, preventing it from turning.

Yes, they build them in a hurry...

North Point slide won't go out.

I spoke with 2 different service guys and they both think that it is binding or catching it on something. I tried the retiming procedure with no luck. I guess we can live this weekend without the kitchen and take it in for warranty service this week. The DW is very unhappy but I am trying to make the best of it with a few adult beverages.

Did you look to see if something fell down behind the inside trim.

Just a shot in the dark...

Take a look under the slide out and see if your gasket is getting caught in the rollers. This happened to me causing issues with our kitchen slide. Once the gasket finally got torn, it didn't bind any more. Service replaced the gasket and installed it 1/4" lower

I looked under the slide best I could and did a pretty thorough visual of the sides, top, bottom and even under the coach. I could not see anything. Granted because of the very short 3"-4" of travel it does not give me much space for a good visual.

The best I can tell all of the seals are intact and where they should be. I guess.

Do you have the LCI app?
Follow the trouble shooting guide

Have to go into Manual Override and rescink the slide. The is a a procedure on LCI website. This usually happens when you stop the slide when your in the middle of retract or advance and it gets out of time.

I've had this happen with mine but it woukd get stuck when it was coming in. When this would happen I would go the other direction a split second, then back in, and repeat until it came all the way in. After that go all the way in and out several times which retimed mine and it's been fine ever since.

With the Shwintek keep the button pressed for 5 seconds after it stops moving and never stop with it partially open. My dealer said not following this causes most of the problems with the Schwintek slides.

Oh, and check if your outriggers are bent which also cause problems with these slides.

Slideout

From looking at the missing screw, recommend you take the other 2 screws out and true the brace and then put it back in place. It appears to be bent. Probably not the problem but I would give it some attention.

Mine looks worse then that. It is only a piece of light gage sheet metal. Not strong enough to hole anything.
Like I mentioned before, pretty sure it is just to align it when they install it.

I had an intermittent problem with my bedroom slide and every time I took it to the dealer it worked fine. Finally it failed for them and they discovered a short in the wiring harness. No problems since they replaced it.

Great news!! After calling the service department at the local dealer and making an appointment for August 2nd I was little peeved. I did a bit of searching and finally found the controller box for the slide. (Hidden nicely behind a panel in the basement). I hit the itty bitty little button 6 times and then held it on the 7th. I then ran inside to the master control panel and hit the slide button and it started to go... then it kept going all the way out much to my surprise. I crossed my fingers and brought it back in with much fear it would get stuck out. Much happiness on my behalf it came back in reset itself and works just fine now.

Thank you to all for the great advice and tips. You guys were right that little bracket does not do anything. The DW is very happy to have her kitchen back and all is right with the world again. Thanks again.
