NorthPoint and 20" TV wheels

Is anyone towing a NorthPoint/Pinnacle with a Superduty and 20" wheels?
I've already ordered a 2017 F350 Lariat with 18's but my option list has come out to more $$ than a Platinum and I want to change my order.
Can only get a Platinum with 20".
I don't know if the height is going to be an issue. I am already at the extreme lower limit for box clearance with my 2012 on 18's. so if I am too high on 20's I don't think I will be able to lower the hitch.
Any thoughts?

Your asking about rim size. Tire diameter is what matters... usually the 18" rims have more tire sidewall and the 20" rims have less. So the overall diameter is usually the same. What are the tire sizes?

As far as thoughts... get a gmc with the Duramax Allison combo lol... kidding and congrats on getting a new rig...

Thanks...
They are 275/65 20's vs 275/70 18's

The dealer had 2 2017's one 250 with 20's and one 350 with 18's
The 350 sat lower.

Well now you've added a new variable. You didn't mention 350 vs 250 in first post. The 350 may sit higher than a 250 with the same tire size. May be a better question for your dealer or a ford forum...

Well the 275 65 20 is 34.075 inches tall and the 275 70 18 is 33.157 inches tall so about an 1/2 inch different in height of truck from tires

The f350 with 20s will be high, if I'm not mistaken, 350 rear blocks are usually 1 inch taller. My 06 250 with 325/65/r18 is (34.6 inches) the same diameter as the 20 inch wheels and tire combo that ford uses, and the 350s sit right at an inch higher when sitting next to my truck. When my Eagle 339flqs is hitched with the B&W companion, it sit nose high. I am raising the pin height this coming weekend. If yours has the Mor-Ryde pin box, it is adjustable as well. Have you checked it yet?

Right now on my 2012 f350 and 18's it looks very level with Timbrens...I have a little over 5" on the bed rails.
When I chest leveled the bed rails at the dealer, 350 with 18's wasn't noticeably higher then mine...the 250 with 20's was noticeably higher.
I thought it was the 20's making the height difference, maybe it was just the way the 250 was sitting compared to my feet.

Doesn't sound like there is a significant difference on tire diameter to affect the level.

Looks like there is gonna be a black loaded 2017 F350 Platinum in my driveway soon!!

I am towing an Eagle Premier (predecessor to the North Point) with a 2013 F350 with 20 inch wheels with no problem. I believe the 4 wheel drive (ours is 4 wheel drive) sits higher than the 2 wheel drive version. Currently I am considering a 2017 F350. The heights appear to be about the same as my current truck.

klassic, I may have missed it but are you going with DRW's or single? I am also quite jealous. Love my '12 Tuxedo Black F-250 but those '17's look nice.

It's a SRW
One of the nicest things on the '17 is the two panel moon roof (crewcab only) with power shade.
But I hate moon roofs...it's not for me for that much money.
And the optional trailer camera and TPMS isn't worth it either. Both are hard wired and the TPMS needs special valve stems installed in the trailer wheels that have the same diameter hole.
The blind spot warning system for the trailer only works up to 30' and I don't know how it sees around a 5'er when the sensor is in the trucks tail light. Seems pointless.
The high centermount camera should be nice.

My 2014 has 20" wheels and I am running 285/65/20 (@34.5" tall) and have no issues. I have a North Point 375.

Awesome, thanks EricRom!
I changed my order today(for the third time) from the Lariat with 18's to the Platinum with 20's and it's $600 cheaper. Just had to remove the twin panel moonroof which I wasn't all that keen on anyways.

Sounds like you have a nice TV coming

I pull with an '11 F350 dually. No bags or anything and it squats a bit at the back when hooked up. I have lots of bed clearance. I have 17's but it's the tire height that matters as said above. Mine's 4x too, would be hard pressed to find a 2x on a lot up here in ON.

Be nice if you could order a vehicle item by item as you could way back in the day. Now if you want a single item added you have to buy a 5k$ package to get it.

I'm in Ontario too Players, near Hamilton.
You're right about the packages. 5k to get the ultimate Lariat package for the stuff I wanted but it adds the moonroof which I don't want. That puts me over the cost of the Platinum without the moonroof.
On a 90k$ truck once your into the Lariat trim most of the little trinkets should be standard. Ford is nickel and diming.
