It is correct orientation on the screen. The camera also has a setting for the guide lines to display as well.

Mine did come with the adapter and it wasn't mentioned in the write up, but mine came from Amazon Canada and now they raised the price $25 and re did the write up. If you read it is seems to mention something about it but didn't call it an adapter.
I paid $38 Canadian...to you that would be like almost free in USD.

I was worried about no adapter, but it came with one. You can find them on Amazon for 17$.

[QUOTE=klassic;398679]The factory ones that I saw have an antenna built into the camera.../QUOTE]

They must have changed. Mine includes the Garmin RV760 and the transmitter is in the front cabinet. I leave the camera on while driving, but still get all the warning tones and notifications(speed limit changes, bad curves, low clearance etc). I also use the traffic portion when we get into back-ups.

Is it wired to your transmitter?
Now that makes more sense then putting the transmitter 45' away from the truck.
I guess that's what all the discussion was about early 2015, which system was Jayco using for 2016.

Still ,for me, I didn't need all the extra features or the monitor. And if it wasn't this cheap I wouldn't have even done it.
$60 and a Saturday without the wife nagging at me to do something around the house...makes this even a better deal.

Yep and it picks up power from the clearance light circuit up front.

My 2 relay idea doesn't work to turn the camera on only when the truck 12v is plugged in. Once it's plugged into the truck in the relays activate and the battery power takes over when the truck is unplugged. The relays won't shut off.
Worked in my head at the time but now that I did a wiring diagram it doesn't.

My diode idea doesn't work either, as I've been informed the truck needs to sense the trailer battery voltage and the diode would block that from happening

So either it's hook up the camera to the tail lights and turn the truck headlight switch on, or install a switch at the trailer to turn the camera on and off.
I wanted a more thoughtless set up.
Or of course plug in a connecting wire from trailer to truck.

From the 7 pin connector there should be one wire that is a direct 12 volt connection (the charging wire) can't you tap into that wire for the power that way as soon as you plug in your 7 pin connector to the truck you should have power to the camera.

That's where the problem is CampingJ, the truck 12v attaches to the battery 12v so when the trailer cord is disconnected from the truck 12v, the battery 12v is still there powering the camera.

I just added to the other post about pulling fuses and found what circuit mine is wired to. Once confirmed that it is rear light switch I will add another for camera. I was told I was getting the same as Grumpy but that was not so. Pretty lame to change what they had a go wireless from camera. I only have two trips but camera worked 99% of time but seemed to be a frame to frame delay. Might also be running a cable on roof to a mid point antenna like the other post .

Rock .. As long and the cable isn't any thicker than the cable I used, it will fit behind the vinyl molding. Then go under the trailer to the front and put the antenna in the propane compartment. Don't go across the roof if you dont have too.

Looking at ur pictures my cap molding is way different than yours. Mine is a metal rail screwed down with the vinyl pushed over the metal rail and than sealed. I removed a piece at the bottom and there is no way u can run anything but a small thin wire. Under warranty I do not want to even mess with a seal. When I do my big trip this summer and get tired of the slow motion video I have a plan. My camera is mounted lower than yours from the factory. So the wire will still have to run up about a foot to the top of the cap. I can than run it on the roof over to the ladder and tie wrap it to the back of the rail to the bottom and than to the frame. My other is to just run it on the roof to the rear ac and mount the antenna there. Right now the antenna is about a foot lower than the cap since it is on the camera. The run to the rear ac is about 15 ft and I bet the reception will be great.

Your install was premo and that would be the way to go for anyone with your type rear seal. Jayco pushed the limit on the wireless camera. Maybe they will learn how unhappy we r and on 2017 models fix the problem of bad reception they created. Just like the roof issues. They offer full body paint why no armor coating like edatlanta did with his. Rubber roofs suck one tree branch and that is it.

On your voyager camera is the picture kind of like slow motion like a very short lag between the frames. And if so did moving the antenna forward make that go away

Yes we used to have a very segmented picture (kinda like a flip book that the pages are flipped real slow) and it would freeze frames also. I have not had 1 instance of either of those since I moved the antenna. I very very happy with the result.

Tom, did you get anywhere with this back up camera install?
With the help of Mustang Don there was no solid idea to make the camera come on by plugging the cable into the truck.
Mustang came up with the idea of using a 1 channel on/off wireless control (around $15 on Amazon). Keep one transmitter in the truck and one in the ground control controller box, to turn the camera on or off at the trailer.
Good plan, and sort of high tech, and convenient if you forget to turn it on while driving.
For me, I would end up losing a remote and without installing a little LED light to show if the camera was on or off, I wouldn't know if it was on or off.

So I kept it simple and installed a illuminated rocker switch beside the controller. I can't hook up or take the trailer off the truck without opening the little door. I will see the switch and turn the camera on or off.

NorthPoint back up camera mod...cheap.

Very clever indeed! I am about to order my camera and wiring to add to my rig. I'm going to just hook it up to the running lights to activate it. I also need to get a new head unit for the truck that has a video in so I can monitor from it instead of a separate monitor. Once I get all my parts and pieces together, I'll post it
