Your question didn't post, but the nice looking truck and trailer did.

We just got to our campsite for our maiden voyage and we already have questions[emoji51] the dealership said to make sure the inverter is off before we hook to shore power. He said if not it will fry the inverter. When we got here we had fellow campers to tell us to never turn the inverter off. So I'm coming to yall! Anyone with the Northpoint and a residential frig know the answer? This is a pic of it now and we are connected to shore power. Is this right or are we doing something wrong?

You're good.

Dealer doesn't have a clue, but what's new. The Inverter has a.built in transfer switch so you can leave it on or turn it off after you connect to shore power. Advantage to leaving it on is you won't forget to turn it back on when you leave.

Like grumpy said.
You can leave it on or turn it off if you like.
But when you unplug from shorepower have a look and make sure the inverter didn't go into an overload error.
Don't just jump in your truck and off you go. Your fridge might not be running. I now know this.

Thank you so much! I was so confused BC the dealer was very adamant that it would burn the inverter up so when the fellow campers said otherwise I figured they were right[emoji6] yall are such an awesome resource thank you!
