Over night with 5th wheel

We are traveling west with one night stands. Is it okay to stay hooked up and just drop the front legs to relieve pressure from the tv supension?

You can do what ever you want, dropping jacks is more about taking the bounce out of the trailer when someone walks around. But yeah up down no matter

5-or or trailer it's the same. Drop the front legs(or stabilizers). I usually put in an X-chock too to help take some of the rock out of it.

Thanks all. Plan on dropping front jacks to ease the stress on trucks suspension and to help with some on the 5ers inside movement.

Don't worry about suspension, if it's just you or you need to look less camping and more just parked leave them up. unless your way overloaded. But then I would say get a bigger truck.

Set your parking brake too.

If you're pin heavy in the bed of the truck I don't think you'll get much bounce with or without the front legs down. But to answer your question I would leave them up. I don't think it would make any difference to the rear suspension. if you're plugged in however I would disconnect the 7 pin connector. (Just my suggestion only, not looking for a fight)

More important to make sure it doesn't roll. Parking brakes do not hold very well. I've had the rig roll backwards on a small slope when the parking brake was applied.

I also disconnect the umbilical (7pin). Trailer can drain tow battery.

Disconnecting your 7-pin really depends on the age of your truck. Most newer models have a relay, and no power is applied without the ignition on.
