Overloaded dining slide on 377RLBH

Has anybody else overloaded a slide before? I tried jacking it up to no avail, stood on the top to put pressure and nada. Should I take the screws out of the trim piece and rescrew? It seems like the obvious solution but I'm wondering if there's some kind of internal bracing I don't know about.

(No I didn't take the tire off my truck just for this, I bought new ones while I've been here and haven't had a chance to take these home yet!)

I'd call/"e" mail JAYCO. I have never heard of anybody ever having that problem.

That's what I was afraid of. I'm not even sure how it happened or how long it's been like that. I just noticed some silicone hanging down the other day. I weigh 185 and my wife weighs 105, I can only imagine there's something else wrong...

I felt the wood and it's bone dry and there's no soft spots so I'm pretty confused as to how it happened. The other side looks fine!

That's crazy, another thing I will add to my list to check, when I get it back from having the crack in the fiberglass near the bedroom slide fixed.

It is unclear to me what exactly is wrong and why you feel this is an overload condition. Will the slide not retract?

I haven't tried to retract the slide yet.

What makes me think it's an overload, is the fact that the plywood has bowed far enough that the silicone on the seam has come off and I can see the side of the plywood flooring. What caused it is unknown to me, unless two adults and one kid consisting of 320 combined pounds sitting at the dinner table could cause such damage. Maybe it's been like that and it just took 10 months for the silicone to give up, I guess I need to take a gander at the rest of the seams on the other slides.

X2. Maybe floors bow 3/4" on a slide out and open wood to the elements to allow water to seep into the floor and I'm just over reacting?

Maybe I should elaborate by saying that my 377 has been in the same spot for 10 months with the slides out. It hasn't moved, it hasn't jarred, jostled or jolted. No soft wood on the flooring, it's not wet YET. The silicone was hanging down one day when I came home and I'm ASSUMING it's either been bowed like that since I bought it 10 months ago and silicone just came off, or 320lbs on a slide out daily, bowed our floor.

Sounds like a defect, possibly the cleat that the subfloor is mounted to was not installed. Or the subfloor shifted forward somehow... because it was not attached to the cleat.

You're not going to be able to understand it fully until it gets opened up.

My guess is it will retract fine and even runout fine, too.

But somebody needs to start pulling trim and the membrane and take a looksee.

Thank you! I had no idea there was a subfloor in the slides and that's the whole reason I posted. If it was simple I was going to try and fix it, but by the sounds of it I'm just going to call Jayco, take some pictures and reapply silicone until I can take it in to the dealer.

I'd plan a trip to Middlebury and the factory service center after you talk to customer service, unless it's a minor repair.
