One of the first things I did was swap out the bathroom fan for one with a wall control
Mine are Fantastic fans...I didn't have to change the housing or the fan itself , just the inner shroude with the new circuit board inside. Then ran the wire down the wall to the wall controller.
It wasn't that I couldn't reach the fan. It was because I wanted the rain sensor and more speed control.
It's just dumb not having a rain sensor on all the fans but one.

I know yours is a Max Air fan on the 17's, maybe they make the same type of kit and you can swap out the guts.

DH made a "hatch opener" from PVC similar to the one you posted a picture of. It works like a charm. No more climbing up on toilet. Thanks for the suggestion!

Next project is to build similar tool to support the middle of the long clothes rod that sags. Maybe a larger tee fitting to straddle the rod ,maybe make out of 1" galvanized pipe I'll send a pix unless someone has a better idea ,i had thought of making a shoe or belt rack on the same riser piece (won't need a tie rack )

Probably for the best that it has to stay open because of heat build up. My Pinnacle has hinges on the side, my remotes do work through the door but I still keep it open because of the heat.
