Plastic slide on screen door

We have 2012 Eagle 351 MKTS with the dreaded plastic door slide located in the screen door. I have tried all kinds of lube in slide channel and haven't had much success in the long haul. We have tried to replace it with the newer version(round knob you push down to open) but can't find the correct size to fit our existing door. Any ideas folks?

I have one on my 2011 that works well but between it and the round finger pull they put on it the slider is sometimes hard to open enough to get to the outside latch. I'm thinking of replacing the whole thing with a piece of flat lexon and just go back to the button so I can get to the door latch easier.

After all, that's the way they worked since forever until someone came up with the ez screen release.

If your slider is the standard one like in most trailers, then this simple device really works. https://smile.amazon.com/Camco-43953...en+door+opener

I installed in ours over a year ago, and the only time we have to use the slide is to open the door from the inside when it is latched shut in the morning. Only took about 15 minutes to install with only a drill required.
