Power cord reel doesn't work

I have a 2015 pinnacle 36 FBTS. The power cable reel will not retract. Any ideas?

You may have done this already, but, check your fuses. On our 2016 FBTS the fuse for the CO/Propane detector is also the fuse for the cord reel. Hope this helps as it is certainly not easy to re-wind by hand!

Had same problem. Bad switch. Easy to check but it took Jayco weeks for the new one to arrive

It is a bad rocker switch. I ordered one on Amazon so I don't have to wait on jayco

Which switch? Always good to have a spare.

2015 Pinnacle cord retract

We are also having trouble. It sounds as if sometimes there’s power to it when trying to retract. It will occasionally retract a couple inches and that’s it. I was quoted $800 for the unit and then additional for installation. We’re trying to sell this RV and I would like this repaired or replaced. Any suggestions?

Had that same issue on my Accolade when we took delivery. Jayco replaced the reel under warranty and it works fine now. Mine was making noise but not reeling in the cable so that ruled to everything but the reel itself.

I also had my reel replaced under warrentee but it if breaks again i will pull it out and wire direct. I have plenty of storage space and can manage the cord easily, in fact probably easier then the cord reel.

Since you are selling the unit, i would remove the reel and just wire the cord in direct. Seems like a waste of money to drop a 1000 dollars.
