Just plug it in. On some generators you need a grounding plug if you have an EMS.

The only thing I'll add is that you need to read your generator's owner's manual and fully understand exactly what electricity is generated what is available at each plug on the generator, especially if that generator is capable of 220v output.
For my generator, I built a box with a couple of pigtails that splits my 50 amp RV plug into two different phases of the generator's output. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to run both air conditioners at the same time.
