Pre wired for generator

When I bought my 2016 317RLOK , I was told that I was 'prewired' for a generator. I would like to run a power cable from the back of my truck (during travel time) from a generator to the fifth wheel to power a 15,000btu A/C.
Anybody know where this 'prewired' wires should be located? Also, thoughts on a generator to run the 15,000btu A/C.

The genset wiring junction box will be inside the genset bay on the side of the fire box. But that's only if you have the optional genset prep also called dry camping package.

Why not just plug the trailer's regular cord into the genset in the bed?

No need for anything special. Just zip-ties to secure the wires.

You'll want at least 3kw to run the A/C. 4 would be better.

55kw diesel genny.... ok maybe not that big. Should be a box in the compartment for the generator with wiring. You may needed a transfer switch as well of it doesn't have one. This is to prevent 2 power sources powering the rv. Or you could usr the main cord if practical

If your trailer has gen prep it will also include the transfer switch along with the fire box, wiring junctions box in the fire box, generator start/stop and hour meter panel in the coach. Depending on the year, it will either have a gasoline tank or extra capacity propane.

Your pics confirm you do not have generator prep. So there isn't wiring for a generator.

Here is a pic of my front bay with generator prep. As you can see, it has the fire box and in the pic on the left the junction box for the generator wiring connection. The harness in the same area is for the start/stop panel that's on the wall in the living room.

That black loom coiled up sure looks like the gen wiring connection. If it has red, black and two white that's probably it.

In the op pic that's the harness for the left landing gear leg.

I don't believe 2016 Eagles had a generator prep option available.

ok thanks. guess I was just mislead a little bit at the dealership. salesman sometimes talk without knowledge base. I wish I had that pre wired setup though. It would be nice to run an A/C going down the road while traveling. then when I stop, it doesn't take so long to cool down the living quarters. guess we got a little spoiled with the motor home. still love my fifth wheel though. it's also nice to have a great truck around the house. take care.
