Primary awning on off switch

New Jayco Eagle 317RLOK as of 05/16/2016 from RV-Max, Sherman, TX. Ret'd home 05/17/2016. Put in storage bldg.
1) strap that holds battery was either NOT tightened or just came loose. battery slid forward allowing it to fall into hole(s) [1 of 3), tipped over and spilled acid inside the compartment and onto the concrete floor. trying to neutralize with baking soda and water. quite the mess.
2) my primary awning led lights and front cap led lights with NOT turn off.

All suggestions appreciated.

Try turning the lights off with the remote control. They work by the switch or the remote, but if turned on by one cannot be turned off by the other
