Question to 30.5BHLT owners

Newbie to the forum. We are looking at picking up a new fifth wheel. This will be our first camper. We have always rented travel trailers in the past. We have it down to the 31.5FBHS which we have been through at our local Jayco dealer and the 30.5BHLT which we have not seen in person (nearest one is about 5 hours away). We have two kids (8 and 6) and definitely want one with bunks. My question on the 30.5BHLT is will 4 bikes fit in the back when the bunks are folded up. With the 30.5BHLT you lose the back cargo carrier which for us would be a huge minus. I like the idea of U shaped dinette and the sleeping loft (great for my two kids). Also the sales guy says the 30.5BHLT has a larger front storage compartment.

My TV is a 2003 Ford F250 SD Crew Cab, 6.0 powerstroke diesel. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

When I bought our 30.5BHLT I went to look at the FBHS. We saw the FBHS first, then went into the BHLT and the difference is amazing. To answer your question. I have put 4 bikes in the back and I much prefer that since they are far safer. I simply use large moving blankets and they stay quite comfortable. The BHLT has a lot of advantages, most notably it's a 50A service, and you can easily run both A/C's if so equipped.

I have 3 kids and they all love the loft. Check out the video's on YouTube for the BHLT, but for my needs I far preferred it over the FBHS.

I too, pull with an '03 PSD and it's effortless.

We love our bhlt. I always put 2 big mountain bikes with front tires removed and the bike trailer and a cooler back there.

Howdy - I am thinking of buying a 30.5 BHLT next week and want to be sure that I will be able to fit 2 Honda EU3000is generators in the back. I am goign to purchase the all terrain wheel kits and ramps so that I can roll them in and out when tailgating. Do you mind telling me the dimensions (width) of that back door?

Thanks

My 2011 is about 28" wide and 46" tall. Not sure if it's changed for other years, but I suspect not.
