Rear electric stabilizers - Pin sheered off

I have a 2013 31.5 FBHS Eagle 5th wheel with the rear stabilizers that are just manually operated by a switch on the right hand side of the trailer.

The stabilizers are stuck in the UP (retracted) position because when I hit the switch the motor turns the shaft, but there WAS a small pin in the shaft which connects it to the threaded shaft which goes the full length across the back to then crank down the legs. However with that pin broken it just keeps spinning and doesn't engage.

In the past I was able to tap in a small nail to get it to hold, but I can't seem to get something to line up and work this time, especially when its in that UP position.

Has anyone else run into this same problem and how did you solve it?

Not yet, but, it will probably happen to me sometime in the future

Can you get hold of that shaft from the other side of the trailer? There should be a manual override somewhere.

In case you have not found it yet....

Look at the end of the stabilizer opposite the motor. The screw shaft has the cross pin that accepts the manual crank that came with your rig.

This happened to me so what did was. I manually screwed the legs up to where they bottomed out. Then I manually screwed the them back down 1/2 inch. I got a paint pen and drew a stopping line. Once I did that I found the hole for the roll pin and incerted it. Now I have a bace stopping point so I won't shear the pin again. I also did it to my front landing legs. I broke the connecting bolt on my 2012 FW so I don't want to go through that again. Hope this helped!
Happy RVing!!

Do you look for the paint mark to decide when to stop? Where can I purchase the sheer pin? Do you have to lubricate the screw rod that brings down the legs? Thanks!
