Removing Sticky Adhesive

Not sure why Jayco chose to put a weight sticker on the inside of my clear screen door. It's also on the outside where it should be.

In my infinite wisdom I thought I'd remove it and now have this sticky adhesive crap on the Plexiglas slider.

Anybody have any tips on getting this garbage off...

I hadn't thought of WD40 which will likely not fog the plexiglass.

Never heard of this gooey gone....Walmart???

It's sad that we live in a society that requires warning labels on everything. I'm rarely critical...but what a poor location for a weight sticker...

X4 on Goo B Gone.
Just used it on my Dodge windshield to remove last year's MN and WI seasonal park stickers. I tried razor blades, scrubbies, etc. A little Goo B Gone and the Goo was gone!

If the sticker is still on then make sure you heat it with a heat gun before removing it. I find way less residue left behind.

On another note, I want that style of screen door opener. Any chance you could post the dimensions? And maybe a part number. Mine has the sliding white plastic you have to slide open to unlatch the screen. Those (that you have) are way better.

I'm going in to have some work done on my back in the morning so I'll be out of commission for a few days. When I get a chance I will take a tape out and measure the slider and see if there is a brand name and number on it.

I will be honest, I'm so trained from having the type that you have that I haven't adapted to using the mechanism as it was designed.

Be very careful with GooGone on plastic. It may damage the finish.

50/50 mix of fabric softener and warm water in a squirt bottle. This is an old wallpaper technique I use. Just need score the sticker so it can penetrate. The fabric softener dissolves the glue and doesn't smell bad either. Took thousands of yards of wallpaper down with this technique.

I used goo-gone to remove the residue from the stickers that were inside the plastic kitchen sink. It worked great, no problems.

I will test a small area regardless. Will try the wd40 first as that's what I have.

Like the fabric softener idea as well. Never heard of that before.

I plan on removing the slider from the door first

Appreciate all the suggestion

Ventured out with my can of WD. A terrycloth rag, liberal soak with some WD40, and a little elbow and it is now clean with no ill effects

It measures 9.5"h x 12"w. No part number. But is embossed with www.lci1.com which I believe is lippert.

Went to the lippert store and came up with this
