Residential frig

Freezer temp going up.......
Was at 0 when we left home yesterday. Drove 40 minutes to campsite, was around 30 degrees.
Was down this am to almost 0
Now it is going up again.... Already around 5 degrees
Have not opened freezer door?

Did you have the inverter turned on when you traveled?

Freezer temp will also fluctuate (5-10 degrees)when it goes through a defrost cycle just like at home.

All you can do then is get in touch with the fridge manuf. for a service call.

Mine does that too Jasum.
Only after it gets shut off though..like if I unplug shore power and the inverter does an "overload" error and shuts off. If I leave the fridge off for 10 minutes or so, when I turn it back on the freezer temp is all wonky. Takes a while to get back to 0, but there was no reason for it to rise to 20 degrees after 10 minutes of being shut off and no door opened.
Like you said, only the freezer.

To add to this.
Someone (DW) left a Diet Coke in the freezer and it blew up.
So while cleaning it up the freezer door was open for about 15 mins.
The temp never changed from 0 the whole time.

The fridge is just weird.

Had service guy look at frig today. He thinks it has a coolant leak. Says frig has to come out to be repaired or replaced.
Guess I am going to find out what a big deal it is............
That's the only thing I don't like about residential refrigerators.
Dealer can't get me in until August 5th.

Shouldn't be too hard. Remove doors, disconnect water line, remove bracket on top and bottom and slide out. Get yourself a couple 2x4s and a piece of plywood to make a platform in front of slide if yours in it.
