Question Rubber Seals On Side Outs & Gearing

2 Questions.......

Ok I live in Denver........

#1 What would you use for the rubber seals on the slideouts to keep them soft so they dont crack?

#2. Should I use regular bearing grease on the slide out gears/chains?

We use this in the shop, and I sell it in the store.

As for the slide out itself, use a dry lubricant. No junk will stick to it.

For my slide out seals i use 303 protectant twice a year.
X2 on a dry lube on slide out gears, but best to follow slide out manufactures recommendation.

I watched an interesting video on You Tube about this and the guy used only baby powder. Not only did he put it on his outside seals, but inside as well. [while the slides were in]. They said most slide seals malfunction because they "stick" to the outer wall and tear or get pulled out of their grove. Personally, I use a silicone rubber treatment spray on my seals. I might try the baby powder treatment as well, especially if I have to store it for longer periods of time between uses.
