RV Campgrounds

Just got back into camping after 15 years and was looking for suggestions on different RV sites outside of SC. Would prefer full hook up with 50 amp service. Would also prefer a mountain atmosphere.

Pigeon forge if you like all the stuff to do. Lots of nice CG there. If you like a quieter place Gatlin burg is also very nice.

Smoky Bear Campground just outside of Gatlinburg. The Smoky Mountain Park is on the other side of the road. Small, clean all of the amenities at a reasonable price. They do have several big level pull-thrus that are all concrete. The only issue I recall was some road noise but, we'd go back again!

Hiawasse, GA. Bald Mountain Campground is fantastic with full hookups and many things close by to do. The Georgia Mountain Fall Festival is fantastic and they have many other festivals going on there as well. You are close by Helen, and Blairsville, GA with all kinds of campgrounds and things going on. You want be disappointed!

If you have kids, Pigeon Forge is probably OK, but a VERY commercialized, and very crowded area even in the "off season".

X2! We loved Smoky Bear. Smoky definitely has the "mountain atmosphere".

RV Park Hunter I have posted this link before, good place to browse. A quick internet search will find you many like it. Welcome to rv'ing and if you ever consider going to Lake Lanier Ga. let me know, we live very close.

PS. we just started last May and enjoyed River Bend in Hiwassee and River Vista in Dillard Ga.
