Seasonal Camping

I am picking up a 2000 Jayco designer 331O 5th Wheel to use on a seasonal camping lot. I have a few question about how I should stabilize the camper. I have done this with regular trailers but never with a 5th wheel with an enclosed frame.

Any practical suggestions would be appreciated.

Depending on the ground to frame height of your RV (5er), simply put some thick 24" x 24" patio stones flat on the ground, then buy / install some 12-ton axle stands - from patio stones to its steel frame. Install 3 x axle stands down each RV side. On the front, simply install patio stones and power down the front legs. Only take "some" pressure off its axle / rubber tires. Note: As seen within my TT, I used 6-ton axle stands. Next time around, I would use the much wider base / much better 12-ton axle stands.

We bought some portable jack stands (pyramids) at Wall Mart and put one set ahead and one behind the wheels. Set them on something like patio blocks. I also park the trailer wheels on wood in hopes they will last longer.
