Sewer hose carrier

We just purchased a new 2017 Pinnacle KPTS. To our surprise there is not a storage area for our Rhino sewer hose. The compartment on the unit is only about one square foot. Totally unusable. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Isn't your rear bumper hollow? I keep nearly 30 feet in my Eagles rear bumper.

EDIT: I googled a picture and see that you have no rear bumper....

beautiful rig though.

Beautiful rig but it has no bumper. I'm keeping the hose in a plastic container in the storage bay but would prefer to not use the space for that. It doesn't seem to have a good spot to hook up a storage tube either.

Yeah, I see that. You'd think that's something they would have accounted for. I'm sure someone here will have a solution.

Welcome to the forum btw,

The best I could think of is to mount a holder under the unit. I have seen a folks do that.

On my 2013 KPTS the compartment on the side goes through a small door and I am able to fit a 15ft Rhino Flex hose with fittings on both ends. I am thinking the compartment is around 15 "x8"x8". It took several tries to figure the method to get the hose in but it does fit.

TNCraig, I would think you might need more than 15' of hose.

Fabricate a holder with PVC under the unit...side to side. Just need to find a way to mount it underneath. Not even sure it's an option but, worth a look.

For 90% of the campgrounds that is more than enough. I keep a 10 ft extension in a small container in the storage compartment. Also rinse with hot water before I store and use end caps.

I thought that might be the case but there's no other opening in the compartment. I showed it to to RV dealer where I bought it & he was surprised to. He supposed to talk to Jayco about it. Thinks the they may be pushing for buyers to go with a macerate system.

On the old TrailManor TT we had, there was no room for a plastic box to store the dump hose in... So I went to Home Depot and purchased a square white PVC fence post with 2 end caps. I bolted it to the frame and modified the end caps with hinges and a small lock, just to keep it closed. I attached a hose end cap to the PVC END CAP which when opened had the hose end attached for easy removal.

The square PVC fence post is 5x5" by 8 or 9 feet.

On my old TT I ran a piece if 6" PVC along the frame. On my current Eagle 5'er I ran 6" PVC just behind the rear leveling jacks. Works great!!

Not as elegant (yet) but wanted to be sure I was happy with ours. Only about 4-6" away from the dump pipe, so easy access. Now that I am happy with the location, I'll be replacing the zip tie mounting with metal strapping to the frame rails:

We had lengthy discussion with dealership & they could not come up with a good placement for the tube. So we purchased tube and attached to just the inside of the rear bumper. When we go to the unit again, will take pictures.

X2 Did the exact same thing. But just drilled a hole from the top through the bottom of the end cap and ran a bolt and nut through it. Simple enough and works great.

I had the same problem, needing space for the Rhino hoses and fittings. Here is the address for my post on modifying the existing side access door for the larger diameter Rhino.
