Sidewinder Vs. Warranty

I noticed some of you with Sidewinders have late model 5th's.
Has anybody had any issues with having a Sidewinder?
My Jayco Dealer AND Jayco Customer Service both tell me
that if I install one, it will VOID my Jayco warranty. (1 year left)
Their answer is that the frames with a Revolution hitch are built
differently from the Frame Supplier (Leland/Dexter) I believe.
My 5th was bought off the lot without a Revolution. After having
TT's for many years, I'm just not getting the backing up right.
I would really like to try a Sidewinder or 5thAirborn/Sidewinder.
Can anybody offer any feedback.
Thanks,

I assume that it would only void any claims that you would have with the frame and not the entire warranty. Warranty aside, perhaps you can contact Dexter and ask if there'll be any issues with a sidewinder. I have a revolution and love it!

I have the 5th Airborne Sidewinder I have had some problems with front jacks where Liebert rep came to check out the jacks. They put J B Stabalizers on my Designer. They Never questioned the Sidewinder. The dealer started installing siderwinders after I told them how good they are.
Just my $ .02

Ok, what is a sidewinder? Is it a form of a stablizer? If not, what would be the best thing for me to do to my 27.5 RLS 5er (06) to eliminate as much rocking in the camper as possible? Thanks.

This is not really responsive to your specific question, but for info we just bought a 31.5RLTS and ordered it with a MorRyde pin box from the factory. It was coupled to the truck using a new 18K Superglide hitch. After completing an 8000 mile trip to AK I can say that it is a great combination that may be worthy of taking a look at. The factory had no issue with the MorRyde pin box at all.

Sunshine, The sidewinder is a pin box. The stablizer you want is JB Stablizer made buy Liebert. They also make the frames for Jayco. They work really good too, dealer installed mine.

Good Luck Wayne
