One of the slides on our 32BHDS was WAY out of adjustment when we bought it. We had to take it back to the dealer.

Are you using the remote? My remote will do that. I always use the switch in the control panel.

Which slide is it?
The big slide on our Pinnacle with the entertainment center and kitchen in it is the heaviest slide.
When operating ours we have to make sure the 5er is level side to side and front to rear or it will not work correctly and stall out easily.
Also I have learned to make sure we are on shore power and level before operating the large slides in or out and we have not had any issues since.
Another tip for the Schwintek Slides is to make sure you run it all the way out and all the way in with out stopping. Also hold the button about 3 seconds after they are fully open or fully closed, this will allow the slide motors to re-sync. This will also prevent problems with the Schwintek Slides.

My manual cranks are on the opposite side of the 5er, underneath the belly under a screwed down hatch in the belly.

If it is the Schwintek Slide (the ones with the silver tracks mounted to the side of the slide) the manual override is done with the slide controllers that are usually mounted in the front pass-thru storage compartment.
If it is a standard slide then there is a access hole in the side where the crank handle fits.

The Bedroom Slide is a Schwintek, not sure about the other slides on that model / floorplan.
The opposite side slide in the main living area is usually a standard slide that is operated manually be a hand crank.
It does not have a controller box.

On my 2013 Pinnacle they are on the front bulkhead in the storage compartment just above the leveling box. You can reset them with the instruction manual or swap the controllers to see if that is the problem.
Also there is a number for Coach.net for emergency help in the manual.
Some times just killing the power to the controllers will get it going.
good luck

Is there a tension/travel bar still in place? My slide-out didn't open once and it was because of the travel bar in the overhead.

I hope you have better luck than I have had!!
I'm taking my trailer in for the 4th time this Wed. to hopefully get the living room slide to work properly. Its been a fiasco to say the least.
It has jammed, ripped the window seals out, the interior trim off, still sets crooked in the wall opening, and is not even close to level when the rest of the trailer is.
