Slide out adjustment

We have a 2011 Eagle, 30.5 RLS. When extended the slide sags on the exterior. The kitchen counter is level, the table is about 1.5" lower on the window side. There appear to be adjustment screws underneath the exterior wall. But, there is nothing in the owner's manual about adjusting the height and I can't find anything on youtube. Plenty of advise on what to do if it extends unevenly, but nothing about height.

Rather than diving in blind, I'd prefer instructions or a video.

Any help out there?

Thanks.

Jayco mostly uses Lippert Components, while maybe not your exact system it should give you the information you need.

What do the flanges on the inside look like when extended? Tight at top and gap at bottom? Got any pictures? I don't want to tell you the wrong thing so pictures help. They are easy to adjust. Guessing you have the 2 rail rack / pinion variety. Does everything appear to be lined up when slide is in, like trim and graphics?

Hi John

Everything looks well aligned both open and closed.
Pics should be attached.

Thanks

If all looks aligned opened and closed, then I'm confused. The system you have is the same as mine, and a ton of others. I did notice the jam nut on your jack bolts are loose. In your first and second picture, the vertical bolt is your jack bolt, for up / down adjustment. Then you can see the jam nut on this bolt, which helps keep it set. To adjust, you'd have to loosen the nuts / bolts above that on the bracket (On each rail). then of course you turn each bolt (1 each rail) to adjust up or down, depending on what you need, and lock it in place and tighten everything up. If you have no gaps on the inner flanges when extended, then it is what it is. Not all slides are perfectly level with the main floor. I'm really not sure exactly what you're referring to in the original post, but if there is a picture that could explain it, maybe I could better assist.

With the slide out, the kitchen counter is level. But the dinette table slopes 1 1/8" over 2'. Requires 16 quarters to lift a 2' level to level.

Have you checked if the floor is level?

Floor of the trailer is level. Floor of the slide tips. Sitting in the chair for more than 5 min. should come with a gift certificate for a chiropractor.

I downloaded the Lippert service manual and I think I'm going to mark a reference point on the jack bolts, then try lifting them as John suggested. If I get in trouble, I can always return to the way it is now. No harm, no foul?

Thanks guys for the help. Now I have a clue before I dive in.

Just make a mark on stuff before you adjust. One adjustment affects other things. Make small adjustments, run slide in and out, then check again, repeat.

Post your results, if it worked or didn't- I hope it works, we may have the same problem, but not as severe.

Stand by Scotty. It's raining and 54 degrees in SE CT this week. If summer (or even spring) ever arrives, I'll let you know how we make out.

Sorry about the delay in posting my results. The weather didn't cooperate.

Raising the slide did almost correct the leveling problem, but then it would bind at the top when moving in and out. Had to back off the adjustment so that the slide would move properly.

End result is that the table level in minimally better, the slide still works and I understand more about how it works. Next time it's in the shop I'll ask someone smarter than me to look at it to see if it can be adjusted further or if I'm between the rock and a hard place.

Thanks to all for you input and the service manual download.
