Slide out awnings

We own a 15' 38flsa just wondering if anyone has installed slide out awnings on there rig or has had them installed? Would it be wise to have the dealer install them (for warranty purpose) or to do them with a local Mobil RV company? The dealer is asking $520.00 each x 5 ouch! Thanks for the input.

Had one rig without them, another with, and just had them installed on my current rig. My personal preference is to have them. Cost me $500 for labor to get them installed and $700 for the toppers. Go with somebody you trust to do a good job and for the best price. I would think even the Mobil RV company should offer some kind of installation warranty and the material warranty would come from the manufacturer of the topper.

We have 4 slide outs on our '15 FLQS. Just ordered all of them from CW where we bought the 5er. Right at $3k installed with 3yr warranty. I'm tired of climbing up or laddering to sweep them off.

Ordered them from the factory won't have a rig without them.

The option was only $1,900. They no longer offer 5 for the FLSA since the dinette slide topper has to have the brackets mounted upside down to clear the awning.

If you have your dealer do the install make sure they talk to JAYCO about the dinette slide if you do all 5.

Everyone that I have talked to outside of this forum has also said that they wouldn't go without them,so it looks like I'm gonna have to find another money jar out back somewhere? Maybe the neighbors yard? As always I appreciate the support from everyone.

FWIW, I called Jayco before havingtoppers installed on my trailer's slide. Jayco said the trailer was not framed for a topper so I should not have it installed. You might want to call Jayco with your VIN to double check.

I had three slideouts and had three slide toppers installed by the dealer. I think I paid about 2100 for all three installed. That was a couple years ago. This is the first time I have had them and haven't had to climb on the roof of my unit since. That is a big deal as I am ready to hit 70 smack up side the head!

You will not be disappointed. They look nice and they are very functional for the reasons stated above. They really do keep the slide rooms cooler. We've had them on our last 2 campers and won't have another camper without them.
