Slide out Question

I have just purchased a 1996 Jayco 263 Eagle. The camper set set with the slide-out out for over 6 years with no one using it. The motor works going out but it is not going in. I jumped the wires at the switch and the same result. Is there a control box somewhere that I don't know about?

I do not have a slide out but I am going to assume there is a pair of relays between the switch and the motor. The relays would likely be close to the motor. One of them may have dirty contacts. That is where I would start.

Most slide motors I have had simply reverse the polarity of voltage to the slide motor to change direction of the motor.

It is usually done at the switch.
