Unhappy Strange toilet question

This may sound weird, we have never experienced this in any of our other rv's.

The toilet in our new eagle kind of blows the water back up when we press on the foot pedal to flush. It is pretty strong, sometimes to the point of blowing the water out of the toilet (and that ain't no pretty picture depending what is in the bowl).

It's kind of like a big bubble of water that comes up....seems like a pressure issue but not sure how to fix that. The toilet itself seems to have an angled pipe at one point as it has been clogged once or twice but is fine now. Does anyone have any idea why it would be doing this?

Could it be your vent? The tank has a vent that outlets on the roof to aid in moving the smell up and away. If it gets clogged or somehow blocked, you could build pressure in the tank (not good). There should only be 3 holes in the tank; the roof vent, the toilet valve, and the gate valve at the dump outlet.

Thanks, good to know. Sounds like that may be the issue I will check!

Our 2011 rlqs was doing the same thing when we went to hodag country fest this summer, after using the shower it quit doing it and it has worked perfect since, the only thing I could figure is the trap on the shower was empty causing the problem.

Ours will do that when there is a buildup under the down pipe. Pouring a bucket full of fresh water down the toilet usually corrects the problem.

When the black tank is full, the toilet will burp back, when the vent is plugged, it will burp back, pretty sure that is about all that will cause that.

Ah, the dreaded "poo pyramid".

Use plenty of water to avoid this unpleasant situation.

Added: Maybe use HOT water in that bucket for added effectiveness?

There is one more possibility. If you have a FanTastic Create-A-Breeze exhaust fan and it is on high it CAN produce enough negative pressure to do exactly as you describe.

I will say the blocked roof vent is the most likely cause.

When the black tank in my TT gets about to the half full point, I have to press the turd-release pedal a little more slowly to give that brown boy a gentle release into the dank abyss. Otherwise, it spits back at me when it hits the pool of nastiness.

It is a good idea to always keep some water in the waste tank so that stuff in there does not dry out and build up over time.

Yup mine will do that as well when the blackwater tank is near full or when I get the build up under the the down pipe (pyramid) as well. I also get a 5 gallon bucket and take the sprayer off of the shower hose to fill the bucket I dump about 3 bucket fulls down the pipe. I dump each one as fast as I can with out over filling the toilet. Then flush you tank again.
