The worst part of buying a new fifth wheel?
What's the worst part of buying a new 5er?
Taking delivery at the end of January in Wisconsin and having to wait for spring to use it!

Hope the picture does it justice- IT WAS COLD OUTSIDE!

My largest decision was if my present truck would pull the 351RLTS.
'Second was if we wanted a king or queen bed.

The worst part for me was just buying all the other "stuff" that goes with a new unit, (that is, unless you had an RV previously). Like water hoses, and water purifiers, water pressure regulator, surge protector, electric heater (so I don't use too much propane), kitchen "stuff", generator (if you boondock), etc, etc. That stuff adds up 
But it's all good!!!

We take delivery on our new Jayco on the 15th of February, and I am loving the shopping I'm able to do for the new rig. We figured it was going to cost us a lot more than it really will to get it ready. We bought a Good Sam membership and the discount from Camping World made up for the membership in double what we paid. I highly recommend it. And when you go out for your first time, you'll be buying more. I recommend creating a spreadsheet with two columns. Stuff you need to get on the road (initial purchases), and then another column showing what you'd like to have later. The water and sewer hoses are necessities, but the awning decorations will go in the "later" column. Best of luck. And good luck with your expected cabin fever.

After 4 pop-ups and a TT, we probably have too much stuff to carry but I am sure we will come up with some new stuff we 'need' too. Thanks for the Good Sam tip, I was just looking at that. Looking for RV trip planning facilities and they seem to have a more robust offering for that than AAA or Coach-Net.
Is it May yet?

Nice looking unit. We took delivery on New Years Eve and still waiting to go out. The weather here in Iowa is not good yet. The good weather will be here before we know it.

Nice unit, it will be all that more exciting when you get it out believe me. We did the same last year except it was from Oct to May what a wait.Here in Canada the winters are Way to long.Soon to retire and full time,No More Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst part of buying a new 5W was paying Nebraska's state sales tax (7%)! OUCH! 
In second place was having to wait for our new Pinnacle to be manufactured by Jayco and delivered to our dealership. We were extremely anxious to get it, and I'm an impatient sort!

Sweet, just put a couple of electric heaters in in and camp out in your driveway. We did that until this year when we moved ours further away and put a cover on it. The Pinnacle is a 4 season unit. What is your truck BTW. The picture is too small to tell, but it looked suspiciously like an F150. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :hihi:

That would make more sense than a 1/2 ton for a Pinnacle.

The wheels were a dead giveaway, now that I look close I could have identified it as a duramax by the musket exhaust too! I have to admit that I'm slightly informed when it comes to GM trucks though, I ditched my factory exhaust though

Really Nice looking unit. However I feel your PAIN. I also have a new unit sitting next to my house that we can not wait to use. But everytime I look outside here in upstate NY it is snowing, UUUUUGGGGGG!!!!!!. Need Spring. Well lots of luck with the new unit. Oh yea I have a new 2013 Eagle 314bds
