Actually according to Goodyear you are all wrong. I run the Goodyear G114's on a 17.5" rim. The instructions from Goodyear are to inflate the tire to the load they are carrying. Max pressure on my tires are 125 but the inflation chart for the weight they are carrying says to run them at 105 to 110.

That's for all tires. Max pressure is for max load. Less load, less air can be used. Better to be sure your at the correct pressure for the weight. Easier to run max on trailer tires so there is no guessing or scaling. My Truck has on the door, empty and fully loaded tire pressures. If I don't plan to be towing, like during the winter I run the empty pressures for a better ride. First trip of spring till winter I run loaded tire pressures. My trailers, I always gauge them to max pressure when cold.

Cold tire pressure is cold tire pressure no matter how you ponder it. If you don't want to run max pressure, don't. But you will need to set your pressure while cold regardless of what pressure you choose to run. This is simple basic info found in all owners manuals and in the tire manuals.

Also most RVs come with border line tires that need max pressure to get the load rating.

My interpretation after a quick read of the Goodyear info, is they are showing the lowest, safe inflation pressures. Then, for higher speeds or higher loads, they show that the COLD inflation pressure needs to be increased.

We probably all agree that UNDER INFLATION is BAD. So, for a given load, pressures below what they list are BAD, but over that (within limits) are not. So, unless you KNOW the load each tire is carrying, higher tire pressures are safer.

IMO, to say that all of us that inflate to the maximum shown on the sidewall are wrong, is wrong. We are merely being cautious and using a pressure safer at higher speeds and loads than the published minimums.

As with many other things, do what you believe to be best.

65 should work well. I've got 10ply tires on my 5th and I run 65# and I've had no problems.

I found that one of my tire gages was giving false readings today.
I grabbed a couple more and compared them against each other and against the TV TPMS.
The one I'd been carrying to check the trailer tires was off by nearly 10 psi.

Just an FYI.
