To Much Weight - Slideout

I have removed the dining table from one of the slide-outs, and built a desk in it's place. The desk is a couple of times heavier than the table. Is there a concern of having to much dead weight in the slide-out space?

I don't think it will be an issue for the motor so much, but if I were you I would put a jack or 2 under the corners of the slideout for support when parked.

Although it sounds like a good idea, I would not suggest put supports under the slideout. Should you loose air on that side of the trailer they would not allow the slideout to go down with the rest of the trailer and could cause issues with the slideout mechanism or twist the frame.

I doubt there would be an issue with this but maybe a call to Jayco Customer Service would provide you with the definitive answer. How much of an increase in weight do you estimate your desk to be as compared to the dining table it replaced?

On my 266 Eagle, the slide is about 14 feet and houses the dinette and hide-a-bed. Along with this, there are two storage compartments in the dinette and I often store cases of soft drinks, water, etc. plus items like the coffeemaker, trash cans, food and more under the dinette table. I've never had any issues and the TT is 11 years old.
