It's the DW's favorite, but it's a haul to get here. We both grew up in South FL, so it's nice to get back to the beach. We were spoiled when younger being 10 mins from the beach and having fresh seafood!

We wanted to visit Florida during spring break but only made it to Mississippi. Nice to be at a beach with white sand and blue water. I spent 3 years of my childhood in Hawaii. I kept telling my wife and kids beaches should have white sand and blue water, not brown sand and brown water like Galveston. Now they've experienced a nice beach they want to go back. Next year we're heading to Destin

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not.

Santa Rosa Beach, FL. About 30-40 mins east of Destin.

Topsail

My favorite CG by far! There is not a bad site there. There is only a handful of sites reserved for smaller campers. Highly rated CG for several years and very family friendly. There is a tram that takes you to the beach. For all you Walmart lovers, there's one located just 2 miles from the CG. Headed there next week!

Wow, didn't realize it but that's the park I was hoping to go to! Now it's definitely our next "big trip" destination

Just FYI, the beach is a 1/4-1/3 mile bike ride from the campsites...all within the park. I suggest getting a trailer to toe behind your bicycle for all the beach gear and then unhook at the beach and pull the trailer out on the beach with all your gear. See pic...I think I paid $129 on Amazon or the bike trailer about 4 years ago. Put a longer rope on the end to give you more leverage when pulling the trailer thru the beach sand by hand! Makes it much easier!!

Thanks for the tip Dan. We don't have bikes, the kids do, so we'd probably just load the stuff up in a wagon and walk to the beach.

No worries about the bikes. There's a tram that run's every half-hour and you can bring a cart with all your goodies for the beach. My in-laws take a cart on the tram every day.
