Grandpa 913,

Welcome to the Jayco forums.

Most 12V wiring is routed up the walls and through the ceiling...., 110V is below the floor.

The best way to confirm on your specific model is to contact Jayco (574-825-5861) with your VIN, and they will send you a wiring schemetic.

Bob

I am assuming that you are going to tow a small trailer behind your 5th wheel. On our Montana the wiring was in the back near the tail lights. The guy took the insulation cover loose under the frame and the wires were there.

Or do what I did. The wires for the 12 volt wiring come up from the 7 pin connector and go to a junction right by the pin box. I got a roll of four conductor trailer lighting wire and spliced in at the junction, running the wires underneath the frame.

Thanks,,, Yes I am going to tow a small trailer behind the 5er and have already installed the hitch and now just need to add the "pigtail" for the second trailer.
I have not pulled the tail light covers to look at which side they run the master harness in the rear, and yes it has an insulating cover that reached from one side of the frame to the other, that I have not taken down to look for the harness but will do that today,, thanks for the information.

I am glad I could be of help. On our Montana I believe the harness was on the driver side of the coach but yours may be on the other side.

This is what you need. Voltmeter, sewing needle, and aligator clips. You can push the needle through any insulation and check out almost any wire with much damage.
