Truck for Eagle HT

Thanks everyone! A little back story now. We had a hybrid trailer and spent 3 weeks at Fort Wilderness in Florida this past January. We went to that massive RV show in Tampa and bought the Eagle HT 29.5 BHOK. We had a 2014 Ram 2500 HD tow package and air springs. We were pushing the weight and it made me very nervous. Long story short, we made a deal that we'd buy a heavier truck when we got home. So, after pulling our new 5er (without any issues pulling or stopping, I might add), we came home and got a great deal on a Ram 2500 HD Longhorn LTD. it appears that we will not need to make any adjustments either.

Phew! Thanks for your help!

If you have an Eagle HT 29.5, what do you tow it with? Ok not asking for the half-ton debate, simply wanting to know what "stock" trucks people have towed theirs with that did not require any alterations other than 16" tires on the 5er.

I'd appreciate all sizes, makes and models. Thanks in advance!
We have a 2017 29.5 HT BHDS. We pull it with a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD, with the v-8 gas engine. Behind the camper, we also often pull a small cargo trailer (about 2,500 lbs total), to Art Fairs. The truck pulls both trailers fine...There is not a lot of extra power, and the gas mileage is between 8 and 9 mpg.

2017 Eagle HT. Towed it with a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500, 5.7 litre engine; gas. No problrms at all towing. Hardly feels like I'm towing anything.

That's good to hear! DH upgraded his to the 2016 Ram 2500 Longhorn to tow ours with, we have the hitch coming this week. Glad to know it will do the job [emoji6]

I have a new Jayco Eagle HT 30.5 MBOK and I tow it with a 2013 GMC 2500HD Duramax. My truck pulls it effortlessly.

Tow a 2017 Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS with a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500, 5.7L gas. Tows like a charm! Good luck. By the way, bought it off the lot.
