truck tires

It is time to be thinking about new tires on the truck. The current original tires are Michelin LTX A/T2. Tire size is LT 275/65 R20. I am looking for recommendations (both pro and con) for replacements. Thanks

That's all I run on mine. Have had nothing but good luck. Do you want a different make? I could give you some options?

Hankook makes one..about $367 per. So does Continental & Kelly. Michelin is actually pretty competitive with the others to be honest as far as price. All are LRE and LT tires. There are others but they get higher in price.

I am not unhappy with the tires I have and I certainly would consider buying them again. I am just being sure I consider other options before purchasing.

I really love my BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 275/65R20, they are great on wet and snowy pavement.

Cool! I think the Michelins are the way to go myself. GY's tend to break down in ply's on the sidewall and create excessive road force. I'll never buy them again. I've never had a ply break on my Mich's. But, ya know, that's just my opinion. And we ALL know about opinions, right? LOL

We put Michelin Defender m/s2's on last September, and they're quieter Than the GY Wranglers they replaced, and cured a very mild "drift" to the right that it acquired over 55,000 miles of use. Waited for the $70 rebate they offer from time to time, also.

I have been happy with my Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2s. I have about 25k miles on them after about 5 years and they still look great. (Don't put many miles on my TV.). The only downside I've noticed is that the tread is a bit soft, for better traction, and I have lost pieces of tread blocks on rocks and shale. They work great for desert off roading, but are probably a bit of overkill most of the time. Honestly I'll probably go with something a bit cheaper and with less aggressive tread next time.

I've always run Michelin tires. The truck I recently got has BFG on them. Actually not bad tires but I will probably go back to the Michelins when time comes

Have had a set of Cooper A/T3's on our 1500 and now have a set of the ATP's (Discounts exclusive version of the A/T3) on my 2500HD. Not enough snow this past winter to give a full report, but so far so good and good in rain and dry pavement as well.

Good luck deciding!!!

I've always had good luck out of Michelin tires as well, my only complaint with them is they're noisy, and get even louder as they wear which is normal. I personally won't put Michelins back on any passenger cars I own because of the noise, but that's the only reason, otherwise they do last a long time. (And I did have a radial slip/tear one time). As for truck tires, I actually prefer the Cooper AT3s as well as guy above, one of the best handling tires I've ran, quiet, and I've gotten a lot of miles on them as well. The PO put the Hankook Dynapro AT' M 325/65/R18 load range E, 3860-LBs 65 psi. And I've actually been impressed with them so far, but I believe they're only 3 ply side walls

I just put Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 E's on my 2500! They have great traction in the snow, run quiet and can be had for a great price on Tirerack.

Been happy with the Firestone Transforce's that came stock with my 3500. Quiet and are wearing well.

Michelin Defender. There were 2 versions - an M/S2 and an M/S if memory serves me right. The M/S was newer. I put these on and there was a big difference between them and the stock A/T. They have shown no signs of wear after 12k miles and are extremely smooth and quiet. At 40k mikes I had a blowout while towing with the stock tires.

Michelins on F150 SCrew

Just replaced Michelin LTX A/T2 w/ 93,000 miles. Ran quiet, smooth ride, good handling in rain, sleet / snow. Put LTX A/S M+S back on which came on truck's original steel wheels. A/T2 came on aluminum takeoffs I bought from dealer, and swapped out after 1st 20k miles. My experience after years of Michelins is they're longest lasting, quietest, best riding tires. (Wife prefers Toyos or Yokohama... probably for price, but they work well on her Highlander.)
