TV in master BR 29.5 BHDS

Has anyone mounted a TV in the master bedroom of the Eagle HT 29.5 BHDS?

We have thought about it, but haven't tried to install one. We were told to make sure that we used the Red X on the BR wall to install the mount--as that's where the stud is. We found that we don't have a need yet for a TV in the bedroom. But, at some point in the future, we may want one.

Its funny, we dont have a tv in our bedroom at home. We used to have a swivel tv in our old TT, and it was nice to relax watching tv....it is a tight spot, so a 24" would be the only option in there....and that may be tight. Jayco should have done a ceiling mount with some blocking in there, so you could pull it down and watch

I'm not sure I really would want one in there anyway, but with its location my first thought was unless the mount used hugs the wall closely I'd be smacking my head on it anyway. It's just in a bad spot.

I never figured out why anyone would want a TV in an RV - except perhaps during Football season.
It's called "Camping" people - you should be out sitting around a fire - watching the stars - read a book - talk to you spouse :-)

My previous 20 ft TT never had a TV and we never wanted one.
The new Jayco 5th wheel I have on order will come with one - wish I could have ordered it without and saved some money.

BuddyRay, with all due respect, I think towing a $30K++ camper to full hookup site pushes the limits of what most people call "camping" LOL

We like to be able to throw a movie on for the kids if/when it rains, and I happen to like catching the 11pm news. And then there's NASCAR, which my wife insists we watch...

As for this thread, agree with the above, the 29.5BHDS has the master bedroom TV mount in a very tough spot. I can't see avoiding hitting your head on it every time you walk by so I don't think I'll end up putting one in.

I agree with Tom. Although we vowed to not be tied to a TV when we're camping, it's nice to kick back in our rig watching a movie when it's cold and/or rainy outside. We too, decided not to add a TV in our bedroom, because it allows us to read and relax before closing our eyes. Plus, the location of the mount provided by Jayco is completely ridiculous.

I agree its a bad spot...and they could have done better...ceiling mount or something. Its also called Glamping when your pulling that house on wheels....

We decided not to go with TV in bedroom it would be to small anyways plus we have the one in living room anyways, and the only time we watch TV is when the weathers real bad and can't sit outside around fire.

I do have one mounted in the bedroom. It is on the small side, but it's there. I live in the woods and have plenty of fires when not camping. Wife and kids call it glamping (glamour camping).

We have a tv in our 5'er. We are full-timing, so this is our home. We have used it twice in two years. Once for our grandson (3 years old) on a rainy day while out in the "woods". We never had one in our bedroom in our stationary home. But, it is nice to have for the odd moment or two. Our 5'er came with two tvs.
