Unit complete but not ready for shipping

So our dealer informed us today that the camper is completed! Yay! But then he said it hasn't been released for shipping. So instead of me being patient and waiting to see what happens I thought I'd ask y'all if you've had this happen and how long did it take to finally get it? Thanks!

Mine was scheduled to be finished on a Tuesday late last July, and my dealer called me 2:00 the next day to say they had their first NorthPoint in their lot and it had my name on it.
I'm 8 hours away from the factory.

I was in a rush, (because I was leaving on the Friday I thought with the SOB), so even though they were busy as heck, they checked for gas leaks, threw in a battery, and licensed it on the Thursday and I picked it up at 4:00.

For us, it sat in the shipper's yard for about a week and a half before making it's way east. The story goes our dealer got a hold of the Jayco Rep, who tracked down the unit to the shipper. And then requested they find a driver to deliver the unit. Obviously, they could have been blowing smoke but that's what I was told.

Mine took about a week from the time it came offline to get delivered to my dealer in WA state. Then about five days to get satellite and w/d and pdi done. I had access to it once it was on the dealers lot.

It's not released to shipping until JAYCO gets paid. Also I think the shippers are still short on drivers..

Mine came off the line 1/7/16. It arrived at the dealership here in MA on 1/21/16, so it took about 2 weeks.

Unit complete but not ready for shipping

Wow I'm kinda surprised doesn't seem like it's consistent. Today the dealer said The unit is complete it's going over to shipping expected the first of the week. So hopefully that's what actually happens! Can't wait!

My understanding is that upon completion, the rigs are moved to an area called the 'pen'. Then depending on driver availability, and distance to the final destination, it can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to reach the dealer.

After JAYCO gets paid. It stays at the factory till they get the check. So if your dealer doesn't send in the money it's not going anywhere.

I'll bet a lot of folks didn't know that. I didn't. Hopefully the dealer is on good financial terms with Jayco.....

It was just over 4 weeks. I believe there was one set to be built and they put my name on it. At least that's what the dealer told me

4 weeks from order to delivery is fast. I would say 8-12 weeks would be the norm.

Sometimes all the rocks line up and good things happen. What rig did you order? It's always exciting to get something new.

Trailer order

Put down a deposit for a 29RKS on May 13. Was advised by my dealer that the trailer was out of production on July 13th and would be scheduled for delivery shortly thereafter. Trailer was delivered to my dealer on the July 18th and we did the PDI on the 21st. This trailer far exceeded our expectations and our dealer, Cunningham Campers, Jeffersonville IN, was absolutely exceptional!
