What a difference a week can make..
Just a little over a week ago a tornado hit our campground and completely destroyed our entire campground, including our 2011 Jayco 365BHS. Fast foward to today where I'm thrilled to let everyone know we have: recovered all our personal belongings besides about 6 plates and a 22" LED tv, happily settled everything with our insurance company, and just about 10 hours ago put our deposit down on a brand new 2012 365BHS. It's looking like early May before it comes offline and we are able to pick it up. From what I have seen, Jayco made several improvements over our 11. I can't wait to get our new baby home and start enjoying it.

Great news. Once in awhile those insurance premiums we all dread pay off big time. Have a great year!

Amazing that you were able to recover almost all your stuff. How far away was it tossed? Congrats on a speedy and successful recovery from what must have been a nasty experience.

I'm really happy to hear you all came through that safely and you've been able to settle and get your camping lives back on track. May is still early enough to have a full and enjoyable camping season so hang tough!

I honestly can't say enough great things my insurance company and the way they have handled this entire deal. My adjuster was on site and had tow trucks pulling my camper out of the trees literally within 5 hours of the tornado being reported and personally delivered a check to my workplace yesterday. Panhead, I was parked approximately 10' away from a tree. It didn't throw the camper but slammed it hard enough into this tree that it ripped the roof almost entirely through and down the side all the way to the floor. There was a 2011 Jayflight in our campground that it rolled about 130' and when it slammed into the side of my buddies Cardinal it literally exploded into nothing more than splinters. My camper was lodged far enough around this tree that it took 2 huge semi tow truck to pull it out. I'm pretty I would have survived it, but had I been in it, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to sleep in one again.

I'm glad to hear all is working out for you. A tornado missed me by 1/4 mile about 7 weeks ago and another missed by 10 miles 2-3 weeks ago. I think I'm going to move to the desert.

Just found out today my unit is tenatively scheduled to come off-line the last week of April. It could take up to a week to get it pulled from Indiana to Des Moines so I'm hopeful I will get to pick it up the first week of May.

I have American Family Insurance. Been with them the past 25 years and although they may not be the cheapest, I have never had a problem where they weren't right there for me. They are quick to respond and don't give the run around when it comes to settling a claim.
