What a pain!!!!!!

Was winterizing my 26.5 HT RLS the other day and by-passed the water heater while blowing out the lines. Went to turn the by-pass valve back to closed and the darn "handle" came off. Try as I might, I couldn't press it back into the brass fitting so today I took the brass fitting out and replaced it with a plastic valve. Not to be outdone by Jayco, I turned the valve "handle" towards me when I am looking at the valves. Jayco had it turned away from the front of the trailer where a person looks in to do the deeds. I am a very poor mechanic so the total job, including taking out the brass valve and inserting the plastic one took about an hour and a half. Biggest problem was getting the snap clamps loose enough to take the brass fitting out of the pex stuff. Then, in order for the plastic to go into the Pex, I had to get the wife's hair dryer to make it flexible enough to get the inserts in the Pex. I know, I might have just sprayed a little bit of lithium grease of WD-40 on it and it might have worked, but I didn't. My advice to you, don't break any of those little things that Jayco has so carefully hidden in little cubby holes in your FW.
