What is in the box

Loading up for my trip and a shirt fell behind my theater seating. When I looked behind the seats to get my shirt I notice a box about two feet long by about eight inches high. This box has a front panel with four screws to access the box. I would have to unbolt my theater seating to get to it and open it. Anyone with an FBTS have a clue what is inside this box?

The only thing on that slide is two lights under the overhead cabinets. That box is big and the wires run inside the wall. If that is just a connector it is an overkill.

Look underneath the slide. Is it where the wires enter? I have 3 light fixtures, an outlet and the second awning with lights on that slide. Could be a decent amount of connections.

I did not even think about the awning. So two inside lights and the awning I have no outside outlet. Well now I know where to look if I have an awning or light problem and the fuse is good. Who would ever think of removing a couch to get to a box that must have connectors in it. So now I wonder what is hidden some where in my kitchen tv slide

What is in the box

You should have three light fixtures inside that slide. Over dinning table, wall sconce, and above the chairs. Should be a outlet inside by the dining table. Then add the awning and awning lights. 6 separate connections. On the kitchen slide hiding the wires is easy. If it's like mine there is a nest of wires behind the oven and drawers

The wires, most likely are under the bottom drawer beside your oven, or the drawer under your oven.
That's were I found mine when I attached my television receptical into the wire coming from the inverter to the fridge, so I could use the tv with no shore power.

There are a couple 4" junction boxes under there with a rats nest of wires jammed in.
I'm sure you can imagine.

I actually found a wire that just popped out of the marrett when I touched it.
Not surprising though.

The access to the awning power/lights on our FBTS is behind a flat panel on the outer wall of the slide next to one of the dinette chairs between the corner and the large window. Kinda in the corner- it blends in with the wall covering. Now I gotta go out and see if we have a box behind our theater seats!

You have to remember some of that is generic since some of the same cabinetry is used on more than one model. May only be half full on one model and packed on another.

Fingerlakes
I just looked at that panel by the chair. When I get to my camp in Keene and unload my full basement I am gonna take down the basement wall. I wanted to do that before I left but the dealer had my Rv more than me. I just found another spot to caulk. The top of my shower encloser had a 1/4 inch gap between the wall and shower enclosure all along the top. I know water hits up there so check yours . It is funny how u do notice stuff like the box and the panel by the chair

Yeah mine has a box behind my 2 recliners and I am not sure what is in there either but I have to assume it is where the wiring connections for everything in that slide come in since the slide is built separate from the unit and then put in afterwards

The box I found which must have all the connectors is no big deal. Problem happens when awning or lights fail and all fuses r good. Where do u go next, now I know just like Fingerlakes pointed out that flat panel by the table. That does not even have a way to open beside prying. I have learned so much by reading all that gets posted.

It's a bim, Clouseau! LOL!!!

Over the years, I've come to realize that RV'ers are just like firefighters... Leave them alone in a room with three bowling balls, come back 15 minutes later, one bowling ball is missing, one has been taken apart to see how how it works, one is broken, and NO ONE knows ANYTHING about any bowling balls......
