What speed do you Tow?
We've been camping for 10 years now and I have always towed around 67 on the interstate and find it very comfortable. With our new setup of a 2015 Ram 3500 SRW 6.7 diesel and 2016 Eagle 321RSTS it is very smooth and even my wife says "it seems like we are going really slow". At 67 we pass some campers and others pass us but I don't worry about that.
What speed does everyone else tow at? I still plan on my 67 as this truck will stay in 6th most of the time and occasionally downshift to 5th on bigger hills. With the 3.42 gears it is only pulling 1400 RPMs at 67 in 6th.

Wow, I can only row about 4mph. You are really fast! LOL
I tow at about 62mph for best gas mileage.

I've been in a ride before, where the TT rules. 55 is what I do, no matter what.
Once in a ride, u will never do 65.

60, but I'm a weekender and generally travel less than 100 miles to a couple of my favorite campsites. Have ran it 65 on the interstates when I used to travel a lot further from home base.

Owned two TTs and two motorhomes. I've traveled at 55, 60, 65, and 70+. Don't much like anything over 65, and don't feel the need to do so any longer. Have always felt stable and remained very attentive at any speed, but don't ever want to get involved in any accident at any speed. I know my reaction time isn't what it used to be (was lightning fast, but not any more). So, 60-65 is plenty. Doesn't much matter what sort of rig it is, as heavyweights all have longer stopping distances and limited maneuverability. Currently, our Seneca and Jeep LJ combination has plenty of stopping power, but I feel no need to push the limits. Your best fuel mileage will be in the peak torque range, whether gas or diesel. That's the sweet spot for flat ground. I have found diesels to be happiest just under 2k rpm for peak efficiency (1700 to 1800 or so). Gassers a bit higher, maybe 2500 or so. Whatever gets you there in one piece with enough left over for a few nice dinners and a cold beer is good.

+2 for 62mph - best mileage and cruises easily about 1650 rpm in 7th gear.

My tires are rated at 65 so I usually keep it under that. However my Ram lugs at that speed so I usually lock out 6th and that keeps me around 1600 ram at around 64 mph. Going faster sees less fueled economy and unless running thousands of miles doesn't really save bit just a few minutes. Also, it's easier to stay in the right lane than it is to be passing others trying to change lanes all the time.

65 for me on the interstates and 55 on the two lane roads. Don't have the need for speed any more and makes for a pretty smooth and economical ride.

I run the speed limit, which on most interstates here is normally 70. I upgraded trailer tires, Im well under weight, truck feels happy, driver feels happy....so I roll with it. Been pulling trailers for 15 years and I dont see a problem with it.

I usually set the cruise at 65 mph. Tows nice, makes me feel safe and keeps me out of speeding tickets.

I cruise just under 65. My truck stays in overdrive in the tow/haul mode and gets the best fuel economy at that speed.

IF your tires are ST they are only speed rated for 65 mph max.. Don't blame the tires if you have a blow out going faster..

We have traveled at 70 going out west through South Dakota but generally I only feel comfortable doing no more than 65.
