Allow me to expand a little. Your rig is designed for 30 amp 120 volt power coming into it. Your control panel (fuse box) then breaks this power down to each circuit. While you can connect the campground plug to a higher breaker, ie 50 amp, your rig will not allow more than 30 amp power before it's breaker will "blow". This is to protect the internal wiring of your rig. But, you can, as many folks so, run a separate extension cord into your rig and plug in whatever you would like. Since it is not going through the rigs wiring that would be in addition to whatever power the rig was hooked up to. This is done often to allow an electric space heater to be run and not effect anything else in the rig.

I'm glad I'm on a 50amp site right now. If this park had 30amp only I would have to go somewhere else or use a boat load of propane. I just looked at my EMS and right now I'm drawing: 29 amps on leg #1 and 22 amps on leg #2. Yes, it is cold outside and I'm using electric heat. Thank goodness I'm hosting and the electricity is included in my site.

On the nights when it is much below freezing I turn the electric heat down in the rear area where my furnace thermostat is and set the stat at 60. That way I will get some furnace heat on my tanks, etc. My outside water hose is unhooked and I'm operating on my fresh water tank totally. I stay up in the bedroom with the door closed and a small electric heater on my dresser. Works great. I have been here for six weeks and have used half of one 30 lb propane tank so far.

We've hit issues using 30A when we're running the AC and my DW wants to use the hair dryer so I know you have to watch things carefully. In our old trailer, we had a Progressive Industries HWC30 w/ meter so I could monitor things better. I didn't know about the Camco 55025 PowerGrip Maximizer so that is something I can check out. Just trying to think ahead here is all. Thanks
