Where is the H/W heater bypass valve?
I own a 2016 eagle ht 28.5rsts and can't find or not sure which or where these valves are located.
Here's a valve located by the pump...
And a couple more valves located on the floor against the outer wall...

Neither of your photos show the back side of the HW heater/tank.
Normally, the hot water bypass is at the back of the water heater/hot water tank.

Found it! Had to access it from inside underneath the pantry area. So I want to blow out my water lines...do I close the two valves? I thought there was a third valve in between to open?

I think Jayco has started using a two valve bypass for the WH. I'm not sure of the vale positioning tho.

You would close the two valves to bypass the heater.
Easy enough to check - drain the heater, close the valves.
Blow out the system - crack a valve and see if water sputters out of the heater drain plug.

The 2 black valves are low point drains. to drain - pull up on the top tabs.
Jayco has changed the bypass valve config. The new valve config is 2 valves. To bypass the wh, you operate them opposite of where they are now.
Afterwards you can drain the water heater thru the drain plug. Make sure no power is applied to the water heater until it is unpassed and
filled. Open faucets inside and water should drain out of the lines.
There may be other lp drains.

If I had to guess based on your picture, I'd say, turn the black handled valve 45*, and the white handled one 45*, both clockwise. It looks like they're 3-way valves. So if you turn them both, the flow just gets diverted to the short pipe between the two instead of into/out of the WH.
That's what I would try.

Norty1 was right on the money! Was able to drain H/W heater, close the two bypass valves, opened each faucet at a time while air blows through the city connection line and finally drain the two low point drain valves. Thanks for the help guys!

How do you remove the silver clips? I had a valve snap off a few years ago w
I had the valve handle snap off a few years ago when I was winterizing my camper. We haven’t used it for two years. I’m selling it and need to replace the valve. But I cannot figure out how to remove the pipe clamps to remove the valve.
Any help???

Use a pair of diagonal cutters, but don't cut through the hose.

Done, now how do I get the hose to pull out of the broken valve?
I bought a huge pair of side cutters and snapped both of the PEX clamps off fairly easily. But now I can’t get the hose to pull out of either side of the valve. I thought the hose would just simply pull out.

Pull harder, it’s been there awhile. Plan b is cut it off and install a new valve.

I use a side cutter, and give it a twist, and I'm right through it.
I have also used a portable propane tank, and a "quick" shot of heat to soften the pipe, to help release it from the fitting.

Bypass valve issues
Yeah, I tried that. The brass fitting was cinched on the PEX tubing. So the guy at Menard’s walked me through where to cut. I installed a new Shark bite valve. I hooked the hose to the back of the camper and left all valves in the off position. Then tested the kitchen sink and water flowed until all the pink was out of the line. I went back and turned all the valves on and the water heater started filling and no leaks. I went outside and checked the water heater drain plug and no leaks (I never know how tight to get that since it’s that plastic plug) and no leaks. So i turned off the hose, disconnected the hose, and went back inside. Still no leaks. I decided to turn the bypass valves all off (after letting the kitchen sink run for awhile). When I did the vertical bypass valve leaked everywhere and actually shot water out of the valve. After I turned off the new valve I just installed it too started leaking a very little.
So now I’m off in the morning to take it to the RV shop to have them fix it right.
UGH
Randy
