Which tire is best for a Pinnacle 36kpts.
i just purchased a new Pinnacle 36kpts and am a newbie. I've been reading about the China bombs and wanted to see what other people are using. I've currently got 235/80 r16 "E" rating but wanted to increase the max weight for the tire and not use a China bomb. TIA

Our Pinnacle came with those same tires you have.
Couple years ago upgraded to Sailun 637's which are G's and when the time comes will buy them again.
Safe travels.

We also switched or Pinnacle from the factory installed "E" Rated tires to the Sailun "G" Rated tires.
We got many years and many miles of great service out of them.

G-rated tires are one possibility, as mentioned in the above replies. Check the pressure rating of your wheels if you choose this option. G's require 110 psi to carry their max load.
Another option, if you intend loading to capacity or doing lots of miles, is to do a conversion to 17.5 inch wheels and H-rated tires. This will give you 4805 lbs per tire capacity, lots of extra margin. This is the option that I chose. For the complete story, read our blog article here.

I put a set of cooper E rated light truck tires on a 5er I had and they wore like iron, I didn't notice any difference in performance of my TV and I think the goods in the trailer didn't bounce around as much.

I bought 4 TaskMaster 14ply from Discount Tire balanced with the free replacement and Road Hazard warranty for my 2012 Pinnacle because the Goodyear (china) Marathons OE's looked like eggs and so far so good.

Just ordered a Pinnacle 36rsqs. Paid extra to have the tires upgraded to Goodyear "G" rated tires.

Just installed the G'year 614's. Said this before, but I'm done with the TM's. Have maybe 40mi on the 614's so time will tell. They were $$$ but if they prevent another trip like the last - $$$ well spent.
