Who pays for shipping of parts for warranty repair

Hi, I have not bought a Jayco yet, but real close.
During the warranty time frame, who pays for shipping for the defective parts.
A few years ago, I needed a roof replaced under warranty for my Coleman pop-up; the shipping was $1,200, that they wanted me to pay.
Thanks,
Joe

Honestly, I do not know. I have had a few items repaired/replaced, nothing the size of a popup roof. I have paid absolutely nothing. Right now Jayco is sending my dealer a new window that does not like to slide. If I recall, I will ask my dealer in a few weeks when the work is done.

I had a replacement stereo (under warranty)shipped directly to me and Jayco paid the shipping. I shipped the old one back and forgot to include the receipt for the return shipping in the box as they requested. I got a call about a week later telling me they received the stereo and didn't find my receipt. I estimated the shipping at $25 and they sent me a check. I've been more than pleased with Jayco to this point.
I think having to pay shipping on warrarty items is bogus.

I have never paid for shipping while under warranty for any part. My question is, why would you? Sounds like the dealer was trying to get some extra $$$ from you for his pocket.

If a dealer is trying to get you to pay the shipping... HE IS RIPPING YOU OFF.

Thank you. It is hard to tell which dealer is honest and which is not. We have at least one delayer in the Dallas area who has a very bad reputation.

Steer clear from that dealer then. No sense in going to a bad place expecting a good outcome.
