I got a 2012 f-150 because it would pull our pop up. When I upgraded trailers I realized then that I had limited myself in travel trailers. However wife found and approved the whitehawk 23mbh

I got my 2009 Ram 2500 because I had previously had a 2003 F-350 6.0, and on 2 cross country trips we camped at almost every Ford Dealers yard both ways! Not to mention riding in numerous wreckers! My Cummins has the exhaust brake, as do all makes now I guess, but it just runs smooth and does the job well! Not to mention it does not use DEF!!

The choice to go Chevrolet over Ford or Dodge was simple for me. I drive a lot for work. my 2013 truck had 14 miles on it when I took delivery. Today it sits at 92,334 miles. GM was the only one offering a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. It has been in the shop only for oil changes and a set of tires. Love my truck.

i bought my 26BHS and didn't like how my 2013 Silverado 1500 was pulling it. while it was within it's payload/towing range, the truck seemed to struggle. since we are planning a trip through CO/WY/MT and Yellowstone this summer, i knew i wouldn't be comfortable towing with that setup through the mountains. i wanted peace of mind.

i'm GM loyal, the Duramax engine/Allison transmission has a great reputation as a reliable, powerful setup, and my friend happens to be the general manager at our local Chevy dealership, so i got a GREAT price.

i was SHOCKED when i pulled the TT the first time with the 2500HD Duramax. you barely even know it's back there. plus, now i have enough truck to step up to that 5'er in a few years.

I bought my Silverado HD Duramax/Allison a few months before I retired in anticipation of purchasing a 5er RV...which I did 6 months later. I was fairly certain I was going to go with Jayco but this being my 33rd or 34th Chevy, I was certain my TV was not going to be a Ram or a Ford. I bought it used with 23K but finding one not thrashed out was a real problem. Luckily there are some out there lightly used and without a scratch...but you have to really hunt to find them.

Regarding my earlier post, I should mention the 33 or 34 Chevys purchased were both the DW's and my vehicles since high school many moons ago.....

I could claim that I bought my 2015 Toyota Tundra because of the comfortable ride, the 381 hp 401 ft. lb. of torque engine, or the back up camera. But the real reason was because my dog liked the back seat.

100% price. Needed a full size 1/2 truck. Went looking for an F150, Ended up with a suburban which I have fell in love with. Bought it for 2k and it's a 99 model which means its the old 5.7l engine and no electronic fuel injection. Other words I can work on it. Wasn't looking for a project but I bought one and I have enjoyed tinkering on it. I'm a diesel engine mechanic so I know engines and such. Best part no payment. If I'm not camping I'm usually tinkering on the suburban.
